I need some help here with choosing a server OS. Requirements: Internal and External Remote Desktop connections for Worldship standalone and database client. Requirements dictated by "management" The choice I am stuck on is the Remote Desktop to the server. I know you can expand the RD on essentials to beyond the 2 users, but is there anything else I would be missing by going with Essentials, considering we don't use Active Directory. Back to the original question, Essentials only allows 2 Remote Desktop connections to the server for administration purposes only.
Active Directory is not needed, at least as late as r2. Never tried it on without AD already in place.
